Matt Martin-Rhind, a British Industrial Designer, graduated from Loughborough University in the United Kingdom.
“For me, great design is user-centred. It should appeal to your senses, provoke emotional responses and embody much more than simply form and functionality alone – you can see it, touch it, smell it, hear it etc. The role of a designer is to foresee, and ethically answer future needs and desires.”
Captivated by the hands-on nature of problem solving, Matt’s interest within design started from an early age. During his career, he has lived and worked in many different cities across the globe. His inquisitive nature and the desire to explore new challenges has seen Matt take on many different roles across a variety of categories, which include furniture, toy, and even theme park design.
“I have been extremely fortunate to have been involved in so many diverse projects and categories over the years. I have thoroughly enjoyed having the opportunity to travel the world to meet and work with so many different cultures, characters and personalities. I have previously worked in parts of Asia, but had never been to Shanghai. So, when the opportunity arose to join NAV Scandinavia, I simply had to grasp it with both hands.”
